Founded by Valérie DEVY and Zeynep OKYAY, Amalsia is a creative agency based in Istanbul, focused on cooperation process in art, youth and non-formal education sectors, between cultural operators from Europe, Turkey and EU’s neighboring countries. Amalsia directs its action towards equal access to information and resources in different languages, innovative project management, and guidance for cultural operators in their strategies.

We aim to allow, through art experiences, different kind of audience to enrich their skills, life experience, world understanding, human interaction.

Amalsia is an imaginary character, which is the combination of 2 characters from ancient civilisations…

Amalthea: greek goddess, who has been feeding Zeus and some other gods with goat milk when they were children. We consider this character as the symbol of content, resources, ideas and inspiration providing, to artist, cultural operators, active citizens, young people…

Sia: egyptian goddess, symbole of wisdom, perception, intuition, she is able to guide humans in their decisions, life journey. This character shows our networking and strategic support.

And… « Amal » means « hope », in arabic
