In September, the leading team, including coordinators and junior leaders met during 3 days in France, in order to work on: value sharing, activity scheduling, hosting center visiting, local partners meeting.

Several activities will be implemented at local level, in concert with the whole project team. These activities will allow the children to learn some technics and knowledge about partner countries, but also to express their idea and participate actively in the project designing.
Activities:
Musical post card designing:
- group discussion to help children choosing some sounds or music to record
- music and sound collect in their daily environment (home, street, cafés, shops, art centers…)
- writing English subtitle if material is a song / Choosing a title / Editing the sound with a picture of the scene where sounds were recorded
Discussion with a local multicultural musician, in order to learn some descriptive vocabulary related to sound and music, express their feelings…
Post card sending: by post for the printed version, with dvd for digital version / through the website for digital version
Listening the received post card, and analysing it with the local multicultural musician
Music composition: the composer-sound designer in each country will use the collected materials and design a sound track including the possibility to add live music to be performed by the children (vocal & instrumental). The final performance will be presented at the end of the youth meeting in January 2017, but also broadcasted on radio programs, and then performed locally with some adaptations.
Oral Presentation (with visual media) to be designed by small groups of participants, related to their life environment, learning environment, work environment of their families… These will be presented in january to the whole group to facilitate learning process and debate.

Abbaye royale de Saint-Jean d’Angely - European Culture Center
Located in Saint-Jean d’Angély, in Southwest of France, the Royal Abbey is an important heritage of the Charente-Maritime Department and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Area.
As a member of the Cultural Encounter Centres Network, a label from the French Cultural Ministry, the Royal Abbey is developping an innovative project within culture, economy and heritage sectors.
Founded in 817 by Pepin d’Aquitaine, the Royal Abbey registered as a World Heritage of Unesco because of it is a step of the Santiago de Compostela Route, will celebrate its 1200 years in 2017.
For this event, the team is organizing a new guided tours with artistics activities which allow the audience to discover this monument differently.
The Royal Abbey will accomodate Foreigner Artists (songwriters, musicians, photographers and directors) coming to imagine their new artistic proposals within an artist in residency program. All results will be presented to the population during Public Rehearsals or performances.

3. Live group presentation & debate-discussion
The participants, in small groups of 5 participants, will prepare between October and December, some oral presentations or art works, using visual medias, dealing with an issue related to their own interaction with their environment, related to the topic of sound, but also to a larger list of topics: job, money, urbanism, transport, school and education…
The objectives are to contribute to their deep analysis of one topic, and to their ability to share experience, point of view, expectation, in their own language or in English if possible, with the support of the leaders…
4. Active cultural exploration
• Music listening: group discussion in order to learn how to describe some music patterns by some technical terms, and emotional terms.
• Sound exploration: outdoor journey & sound collecting in La Rochelle, in order to get new material for final performance
5. Daily collective report
Each day, the participants will gather with their national leader to talk about their learning process and difficulties..
6. Evenings
Non formal meetings with local children, with the support of schools, associations…
Cultural activities : cinema, concerts
Diner with local families at their home
7. Final collective performance
The final event will have to forms: a music performance and a visual and sound installation
